FILEY ART SOCIETY SUMMER EXHIBITION  2018

                 AS THERE ARE CHANGES TO THIS FORM COMPARED  TO PREVIOUS EXHIBITIONS

                                                        PLEASE READ THIS FORM CAREFULLY

                   Each member of Filey Art Society is entitled to submit up to 6 framed original works
,                  or  prints of their own work, for the above exhibition (unframed oils and acrylics on 
                  stretched canvasses count as framed works and will be hung.). Any artist undertaking
                  extra stewarding duties will be entitled to submit an extra 3 works. There will be a charge
                  of 50p for each picture submitted. Works sold may be replaced at no extra charge..

                  PLEASE NOTE:

                             Photographs, needlework and decoupage are not allowed.
                             All works submitted  MUST be correctly framed , taped on the back (no masking
                             tape), corded for hanging (no wire or string). If you require any advice on framing
                             and hanging, please see separate information sheet.
                             All pictures should be labelled clearly on the back as follows:

                                                             Price…………………………………..
                             The minimum price for a painting is £20.
                             Any copies of works by other artists must be clearly acknowledged as such.
                             A commission of 20% will be deducted for each picture sold.
                             Each exhibiting artist is required to complete a duty of 3 hours, split between the
                             hall and the kitchen, with one person in the hall (stewarding alongside a committee
                             member) and two people in the kitchen.
                             NB . As a change to the existing rules, the committee and the exhibition secretary
                             have decided that anyone who cannot fulfil their stewarding duties due to 
                             extenuating MEDICAL circumstances (either long term , or problems  of a shorter
                             duration) may be able to enter their pictures in the exhibition without undertaking a
                             stewarding duty. This will be at the discretion of the committee and any requests of
                             this nature should be brought to the attention of the exhibition secretary before
                             your entry form is submitted. Help with the transport of pictures may be available
                             in these circumstances.

                              NB. At the exhibition secretary’s discretion, pictures may be moved during the
                              exhibition. This is purely to enhance the overall presentation and to accommodate
                              replacement pictures.
                              Those members submitting framed works may pay £1 to enter up to 10 unframed
                              but mounted pictures. These must be wrapped for protection and clearly labelled
                              on the front with the artist’s name, title, medium and price.
                  Please bring your entries to the Evron Centre Concert Hall between 8.30 and 9.30 on
                  Saturday 25th August.
                  Unsold paintings MUST be collected between 4pm and 4.30pm on Monday 27th August.

                  Exhibiting artists may also bring cards made from reproductions of their work – please
                  see separate sheet for details.
